FAQ for Jewelry (not Pottery)

How quickly do you send out jewelry packages?

For U.S. domestic shipping, I typically send jewelry packages out in 3-5 business days with the exception of custom or made-to-size orders. In those cases, the buyer will be notified of an estimated timeline at the start of the project.

On international shipping orders, please note that I always declare the full price of the piece in my customs forms and that you may have to pay customs fees to claim your package. These fees are set by your government and are the responsibility of the buyer. For more information, please contact your local customs office or postal service.

What is your return policy?

Every item is handcrafted and not manufactured. Therefore slight variances from piece to piece may exist. This is the beauty of handcrafted jewelry and no two items are ever exactly the same. For jewelry, I accept returns, but not exchanges. Contact me within 3 days of receiving your order to return. ALL returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs for returns. Items must be mailed in their original condition and in the original packaging.

How do I take care of my jewelry?

To protect your jewelry, please remove before swimming, bathing, exercising and anything that involves water. Avoid contact with oils, lotions, makeup, hairspray and perfume.

Please also note that the patinas on all of my pieces are likely to change over time when coming in contact with your environment and body chemistry. This is typical with metal jewelry, especially when not worn for certain periods of time. Embrace the worn look of your piece and store your jewelry in a plastic bag, when not in use, to slow the surface change.

Jewelry polishing cloths can keep your silver bright and shiny, but avoid polishing stones with these cloths. They sometimes come with a compound embedded in the material that should only be used on the metal and not the stone. When using a polishing cloth on your jewelry that has an oxidized/patina finish, please use the cloth with a light touch on the metal as the patina can potentially be affected and fade quicker. Again, store your jewelry in a plastic bag, when not in use, to slow the surface change.
